Medical Use: Finaplix has no human medical use and was only included in these descriptions due to the high volume of questions surrounding it. It is a veterinary cattle implant which increases the rate of weight gain and improves feed efficiency in growing finishing feedlot heifers. It should never be used by humans for any reason.

Directions for Use: Finaplix and other cattle steroid implants are veterinary products that should only be administered to cattle. This product is NOT for human consumption.

When To Avoid: This drug has caused serious, even life-threatening kidney liver problems. Due to serious adverse effects, this medication must not be used to improve athletic performance or physical appearance.

Side Effects: Finaplix use by humans can lead to extreme toxicity, especially in the kidneys and liver. This will manifest itself as very dark colored urine. Introduction of this drug to one’s system may be accompanied by nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Acute acne, accelerated facial and body hair growth, onset of male pattern baldness and swelling of hands and feet are also common. Mood swings and aggressive episodes are especially common with use of Finaplix. Headaches, persistent nose bleeding and oily skin are also well reported. High blood pressure and elevated hear rate are further side effects of Finaplix use. Use of Finaplix by women will have a strong virilization effect, which will include clitoral enlargement, facial and body hair growth, scalp hair loss, hoarseness and deepening of the voice. Finaplix should NEVER be taken by prepubescent children or women.
