TESTOSTERONE HEPTYLATE

Generic Name: Testosterone Heptylate

Medical Use: Testosterone Heptylate was developed by the French company Laboratoire Theramex in 1955 and has been used successfully over the last 50 years to treat patients suffering from muscle wasting diseases, men who are failing to naturally produce proper amounts of testosterone due to inadequate functioning of the testes and for the treatment of severe medical conditions including certain forms of severe anaemia, osteoporosis in elderly men and breast cancer in women. It is also used to treat the muscle wasting effects of HIV, especially in European countries.

Directions for Use: Testosterone Heptylate is administered intramuscularly and should only be taken under strict medical supervision at a medical facility. In rare cases a medical professional may permit home injection in which case all due care should be taken to use approved sterile and unused equipment. Never exceed the recommended dose and never give this medication to a person for whom it was not prescribed. Store at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight and moisture.

When To Avoid: This drug may cause serious liver problems including liver failure, liver cysts and tumors. This medication should not be used by men with breast or prostate cancer. Due to serious adverse effects, this medication must not be used to improve athletic performance or physical appearance.

Side Effects: Initial use of testosterone heptylate is usually accompanied by stomach upset, headache and acne. Increased facial hair growth, male pattern baldness, pain or inflammation at the injection site, nausea and vomiting are also to be expected, as are swelling of the hands and feet (edema) and jaundice. Males may experience enlargement of the breasts, increased frequency of erections and increased incidences of rage. Females can expect menstrual irregularities, hoarseness, deepening of the voice, clitoral enlargement and facial hair growth. Due to the possibility that Testosterone Heptylate may be passed through breast milk pregnant or nursing mothers should NEVER take this drug. Children under the age of 18 may have stunted growth as a result of taking this medication, due to the early fusion of bones.
