Oxandrolone

Medical Use: Oxandrolone is an androgenic steroidal lactone that promotes retention of nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus, and is used to accelerate anabolism and/or to arrest excessive catabolism. It is has been used on patients who suffer from muscle wasting diseases, are anaemic, anorexic or HIV positive.

Directions for Use: Oxandrolone is only to be taken in accordance with a doctor’s prescription. This medication is taken orally and may be taken with food or milk if upset stomach occurs. Take this medication exactly as prescribed. Do not increase your dose or take this more often than directed since the risk of side effects will be increased. While taking this medication, your doctor should schedule periodic lab tests to monitor the effectiveness of therapy. Never give Oxandrolone to a person for whom it was not prescribed. Pregnant women and children under the age of 18 should NOT take this drug. If you are diabetic ensure that your doctor carefully monitors your urine and blood sugar while taking this medication.

When To Avoid: This drug has caused serious, even life-threatening liver problems including liver failure, liver cysts and liver tumors. This medication should not be used by men with breast or prostate cancer. Due to serious adverse effects, this medication must not be used to improve athletic performance or physical appearance.

Side Effects: The introduction of Oxandrolone to one’s system is usually accompanied by nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, diarrhea, insomnia and excitation. Ongoing effects include acute acne, yellowing of the skin extreme mood changes. Prepubescent males may experience increases in penis size, frequency of erections, and hair growth. Adult males may experience loss of scalp hair, breast tenderness or swelling, painful erections, trouble urinating and uncontrollable changes in sex drive. Women who choose to use Oxandrolone csan expect to see the following signs of virilization; deepening of the voice, hoarseness, an increase in body hair, changes in sex drive, menstrual changes. Ongoing vomiting, skin color changes, swelling of the feet or ankles are also common side effects for women.
